A lace wig or a lace front wig is a special type of hairpiece or wig in which human hair or synthetic hair is tied by hand to a sheer lace base which goes over the scalp.

What is a closure wig?
The purpose of a closure is to allow the wearer to have a full sew in (or wig) with none of their hair left out but still have the flexibility of being able to wear a part with the appearance of scalp showing. This is the exact same technology as a lace front or lace wig.

How long does it take to get a silk press?
So, your silk press, when done correctly, should last about 1-2 weeks. I do not recommend going longer than two weeks without shampooing your hair. While your hair is straight wrap it every night to maintain the straight look and I recommend that you do not continue to put more heat on it.
